U OF T INTRAMURALS

The U of T Intramural Program is for all current UTM students,

The U of T Intramural Program is primarily for current UTM students. In addition, there are limited opportunities for Membership holding UTM Alumni and Staff. UTM Teams will represent UTM in different sport leagues and tournaments in the University of Toronto Intramural Program. The Program is administered by the St. George Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education along with the Athletic Deparments of UTM and UTSC (U of T Scarborough).

In the U of T Intramural Leagues, UTM Teams compete against other College and Faculties within the University of Toronto. Players must be willing to travel to UTSC and St. George campuses for away league games and transporation is provided.  These are not Varsity Teams and you will be playing against other similarly skilled U of T students in intramural action.

For many of these U of T Intramural sport teams we are often short on players. Most teams will only have 1 game and 1 possibly 2, practices a week.  For women's sports, we do not have enough UTM students to run Campus Rec Intramural Leagues at UTM and these U of T Intramural Leagues will be the only opportunity for participation. In all women's sports, coming out to a try-out could make the difference between having a team or not for UTM.

Get out to one of the try-out sessions and get in the game! We need you!! If you are unable to make any of the try-out sessions, but would like to participate, please contact Jack Krist (905) 569-4607 or j.krist@utoronto.ca.

In the U of T Intramural Tournaments, UTM Students will represent UTM against other students from the various Colleges and Faculties of the University of Toronto. Almost all tournaments are held at the St. George Campus. Both Team and Individual Tournaments are offered.

Interested in Playing?

All students interested in playing for UTM are encouraged to come to the try-outs - beginners are always welcome and encouraged to attend. In fact, many of our women's lacrosse & field hockey players had not played prior to university. If you missed the fall season, don't miss out in the winter, as some sports start a new season, with all new try-outs.

If you have played at your high school or in a community league, then we need you to play for UTM. Be sure to get out to a try-out. We are often one or two players short of fielding teams so please come out.

Tri-Campus

UTM's highest level of Intramural competition. Leagues are meant to give participants a near varsity experience.  The St. George Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education will offer Tri-Campus Intramural Leagues for Men's Ice Hockey, Men's Outdoor Soccer, Men's Volleyball, Men's Cricket, Men's Indoor Soccer, Women's Basketball, Women's Volleyball and Women's Indoor Soccer. These leagues are usually comprised of 4 or 6 teams. One or two teams from UTM and UTSC and two all-star teams who will represent the St. George Campus.

In addition to regular league games, our more competitive Tri-Campus teams will occasionally play OCAA schools in exhibition games as well as varsity and extramural tournaments!

New for 2013 - Men's Tri-Campus Hockey is now Non-Contact.
