2012 - 2013 U of T Mississauga Extramural Tournaments

The Extramural Program is an extension of the UTM Intramural Program that involves UTM Intramural athletes competing against OCAA intramural teams in numerous tournaments. UTM is an affiliate member of the OCAA and members of the Ontario College Committee on Campus Recreation (OCCCR).

UTM will host 7 tournaments in 2012-13, including a men's flag football tournament to be played on the South Field, home practice field for the Toronto Argos. We will once again host the Final Four Invitational Men's Basketball Extramural Championship. The top 4 ranked teams from all Extramural Tournaments will be chosen to battle for the overall Extramural Title! Sheridan College defated UTM White in the 2011-12 Final.

For some tournaments it may be necessary to hold try-outs for UTM teams. Try-out dates will be posted on this web page.

Coed Ultimate Frisbee

7 players a side, 3 women minimum. Max. of 13 per team. This tournament will be played on the North Field. Awards for champions and finalists. 3 Games guaranteed. Lunch provided.

Men's Flag Football

7 players on the field. Maximum of 15 players per team. This tournament will be played on our South Field. Awards for champions and finalists. 3 Games guaranteed. Lunch provided.

Men's Basketball

5 on 5 full court. Maximum of 12 players per team. Awards for champions and finalists. No current OCAA/OUA Varsity Basketball players allowed. 3 Games guaranteed. Lunch provided.

Men's Indoor Soccer

This tournament will be played in the RAWC Double Gym. Awards for champions and finalists. 3 Games guaranteed. Lunch provided. No current OCAA/OUA Varsity Soccer players allowed. 6 on the floor. 5 and a goalie with a maximum roster of 13 players.

Coed Indoor Soccer

6 players on the floor at a time. 3 men / 2 women and a goalie. Maximum of 13 players per team. This tournament will be played in the RAWC Double Gym. Awards for champions and finalists. 3 Games guaranteed. Lunch provided. To allow teams a cahnce to recruit soccer players, for this tournament we will allow a maximum of 2 OCAA Varsity Indoor Soccer players per team (1 female and 1 male).

Men's Basketball

Final Four Invitational- Challenge Cup Series

UTM will be the host site for this inaugural tournament. The Top 4 ranked teams after all extramural basketball tournaments will be invited to participate in this tournament. No food provided. 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd in the semis. 2 winners of semis will play for the Overall 2012-2013 Extramural Basketball Title!

OCCCR Fair Play College of the Year Award

Awarded to the OCAA Extramural member institution for their sportsmanlike play in the entire Extramural Program. It is our goal that each year UTM athletes and teams strive to achieve this award, as they represent UTM in the OCAA Extramural Program. This award was last won by UTM in 2007-2008 season.

The Men's Indoor Cricket team were semi-finalists and Fair Play winners of the Humber College Tournament. The UTM Men's Div 1 White team won the George Brown Basketball Tournament.
