UTM Masters & Triathlon Swimming Club
Who We Are
UTM Masters & Triathlon Swimming Club is now into its fifth year as a program for individuals seeking a gym alternative for fitness, a part of training for triathlons, and competitive swimming training. The program is designed to enhance competitive swimming abilities, stroke techniques, and personal fitness. Team spirit is encouraged within the club through the occasional organization of social events and encouraged attendance to swim meets.
Our dedicated coaches have an extensive background in competitive swimming and previous coaching experience. The coaches plan and provide workouts, as well as assist with individual swimming needs. For more information on our coaches, please see their biographies here.
The program consists of 5 optional practices per week, which run from September to August. Practices include structured workouts and feedback from the coaches. The practice schedule is as follows:
Workouts will range from high intensity interval training to endurance training. Coaches create workouts that will help meet swimmers’ individual and collective needs. Some swimming ability and knowledge of how to swim a workout, including pace times, is expected.
